Clean Energy for a Renewable Future

Met Mast Installation

TE H2 is investigating wind speeds at Middleback Range in South Australia, to determine site suitability for future energy development. A planning application for the installation of a meteorological mast (met mast) has been lodged to the State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP) and was granted planning consent on the 15th May 2024.

The purpose of the met mast is to measure average, minimum and maximum wind speed to ascertain the available wind resource in the area.

The mast is proposed to have a maximum height of 140 metres and is expected to be in place for a period of five (5) to eight (8) years.
