Steam Education H2 Grand Prix Pro
TE H2 is proudly sponsoring the Whyalla Sunrise Christian School in the Upper Spencer Gulf, to participate in the H2 Grand Prix, highlighting our commitment to fostering education, innovation and sustainable practices.
The H2 Grand Prix program is strategically designed to engage students in science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) based education.
Developed by Horizon Education, the program focuses on design, build and race of remote controlled (RC) model cars powered by hydrogen fuel cells. This innovative approach aims to promote hands on learning, teamwork and innovation while fostering a keen interest in clean technologies.
The South Australian race final was held at Findon High School on the 10th May 2024, with the Whyalla Sunrise Christian School coming 5th in the race. The school performed the best out of the unmodified cars using the original heavier batteries whereas, the top 4 team all had used the lighter lithium-ion batteries. A must strategy for next year!
